A Favorite Time Of Year

"I am so glad I live
in a world where
there are Octobers."
L.M. Montgomery,
Anne of Green Gables.

Gold, yellow, green, red, orange are the colors of the leaves as they bravely hang on in the fall. One strong wind and off they fly to land in clusters on the ground creating a carpet of color. It won't be long before grey twigs will be all that is left but right now, today, the colors are gorgeous. Every morning in the fall I see the large red tree in my neighbor's yard and I am filled with such a happy feeling. God Is Good.

Today I was at Majestic Park in Arvada and had to give thanks to God for the beautiful scenery. I felt as if I was in my own private museum looking at a wonderful painting!
Last year, I missed seeing the neighborhoods in their colors because I was either in the hospital, rehab, or assisted living. This year, it's as if I can't get enough of the fall colors! Just a drive through the neighborhood allowed me to see many trees in different shades of color.

"How beautifully leaves grow old.
How full of light and color are their last days."
John Burroughs
