An Addition to the Family

A few weeks ago I received news from California that Luna May was now an added member of the family.
I mentioned to my daughter that it was a good omen that they got the rescue dog on St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day, October 4th. While at the vets, they found out she weighs 44 pounds.  Reports I get are that "she is a good doggie." I was told that when they took Luna to a doggie park she seemed to prefer hanging with her people friends instead of socializing with the other dogs.

Two naughty things she has done is getting a hold of my granddaughter's flip-flop and chewing the strap and that they will find her stretched out on the couch, which is a no-no. The song  that comes to mind is: "Getting to know you, getting to know all about you. Getting to like you, getting to hope you like me".

I used to text and ask how my granddaughters were doing, and now my question is "How is Luna?"

"Properly trained,
a man can be
dog's best friend."
