Silence in a Classroom

Small innocent
faces looking
into a metal
tube that shoots
out flames
that will cause
pain.
Loud cracks
mingle with
crying
screaming
moaning
as bullets fly
like a hurting
rain.

One class
then two,
down
before they
can understand
why their best
friend 
is in a puddle
of blood.
Searing pain
and then
silence.
