Friendship

A friend I knew told me once, "Eating with a friend is so much better than eating alone." I wholeheartedly agree with him. Today, after a Board meeting, six friends met at Applebee's for lunch. We enjoyed the food, our conversations and each other.

One person had just returned from Hawaii, one from Slovenia, one from Mexico, two from vacations in the United States, and one from Grand Lake. Health, travel, books, movies, husbands, other friends and food were subjects discussed at the fun luncheon.

In Spanish we have a saying of:  "Panza llena, corazon contento!" (Full belly, happy heart!) Looking at our faces in the photo, I would say the saying is true!

 

"I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends 

who have given me a heart of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun."
