While driving on Wadsworth Blvd. right around 2nd Avenue, something red, white, and blue caught my eye. I was surprised to see United States flags high in the trees. Someone had gone through a lot of work to place the flags up so high. What a patriotic thing to do, I thought. The person who placed the flags in the trees must surely love our country. How proud he or she must be of being in the United States that they felt compelled to show it by displaying the flags in the trees. I made a U-turn to return to the tree flags because I wanted to photograph
the beautiful sight.
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States
of America, and to the Republic for which it
stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with
liberty and justice for all."
