Fun Get Together

My friend, who I don't see as often as I should, invited me to her home to help celebrate her husband's graduation from Construction Industry Training Council of Colorado, Inc.; a trade school graduating fifty persons!

After the ceremony and reception we met at their home for guacamole, green salsa and different toppings for the tostadas. Eating and talking was fun, but I enjoyed the talents of three young people. Two played guitars and one sang and played the violin. My favorite songs were an Elvis Presley's song and La Bamba.

It was fun hearing stories about when the talented young girls were small because now one is seventeen (at Holy Family High School) and the other one is nineteen (at Metro University). They are the same age as my granddaughters and it is such a pleasure being around them. The young man, with a smooth voice, is a junior in high school and attends school in Boulder school district. Such talent and the amazing thing is how musicians, when meeting for the first time, can jam together!

What a festive get together, good food, interesting conversations, great music, and delicious desserts of German Chocolate cake, petite fours, and Reece's peanut butter and chocolate ice-cream cake!
