Lulu, Slick, Rick and Nick
Two parrots on a stick,
one named Lulu
the other Slick.
"Talk," ordered the man
by the name of Dan.
"Speak, said his mate,
by the name of Kate.
Lulu and Slick
just sat on the stick.
They never said a word.
If a parrot talked
wouldn't that be absurd?
Two parrots on a stick,
one named Rick
the other Nick.
"Speak up," said the man
by the name of Dan.
Hel-lo," said his pal
by the name of Al.
Rick and Nick
just sat on a stick.
They never said a word.
If a parrot talked
wouldn't that be absurd?
How can you make the
parrots talk?
Should you walk?
Should you giggle?
Should you wiggle?
Should you groove?
Should you move?
Should you flap?
Should you rap?
Should you bray?
Should you pretend to fly away?
What would you do?
Would you shout?
Would you pout?
Would you nap?
Would you rap?
Would you sing?
Would you ring
a bell that went
Ding a ling?
What would you do?
Here's my advice
to you,
the best thing to do
is to sit quietly,
not making a noise,
not playing with toys,
just be silent
so very quiet
and look at
the parrots on a stick
Lulu and Slick
Rick and Nick.
Maybe,when you are quiet,
so very quiet
very, very quiet.
Lulu and Slick and
Rick and Nick
might whisper,
"Good Night, sleep tight,
turn off the light
go to sleep,
sleep tight,
tonight."
