Yesterday, May 6, 2015, a group of widows attended a "high tea" at their monthly luncheon. Many wore fancy, and not so fancy, hats. The tables were decorated with tea pots and floral tea cups. Though there were many hats of different shapes and designs, three hats were chosen for being most colorful, funniest or creative.

The three winning hats were: A John Deer with small tractors, a red and pink floral ribbon hat, and a fluffy white with green leaves hat. When I saw the fluffy meringue looking hat I told the woman wearing it, "Your hat looks good enough to eat."
After lunch the group enjoyed watching Shelvis perform Elvis Presley
songs. "He" kissed, sat on laps, sang in ears, hugged, patted and
lap danced while singing some of Elvis' favorite songs. He got a group up to dance and encouraged them to move their hips! It was good to
see everyone enjoying themselves and having a great time!

The reading of Tom Hegg's,
A Cup of Christmas Tea was read to the group and ended with, "She poured two cups, she smiled, and then she handed one to me. And then we settled back and had a Christmas tea."
A long table was laden with delicious macaroni, tuna, chicken, and potato salads.
Dessert were different kinds of cookies to enjoy with the tea. The entertainment started and the fun began!

Some of the many decorative hats invented by creative minds!

"Elvis" had women dancing and singing and I wondered how many of the women knew that the impersonator was a woman by the name of Lori Marie Muha and that she entertains around town as Shelvis.
